The short version: the only personal information this website collects is what you type into the consultation form. We use it to answer you. We do not sell it, we do not advertise to you with it, and this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking pixels.
Who this policy covers
Diamond Remodeling is a kitchen, bathroom and interior finishing contractor based in Syracuse, New York, owner-led by Jeff Carson and serving Onondaga and Madison County. This policy covers diamondremodelingcny.com and the consultation requests sent through it.
It does not cover information you give us in person, on a job site, or in a signed contract and its paperwork — those are part of our working relationship with you, and the contract governs them.
What you give us
Our consultation form asks for five things, and the form is the only place on this site where you can enter anything:
- Your name.
- Your phone number.
- Your email address.
- The service you are interested in — kitchen, bathroom, tile and flooring, interior finishing, or other.
- Anything else you choose to write in the message box.
Along with your answers we record which page you submitted the form from and the date and time it arrived. That is so we can pick up the conversation where you left it rather than asking you to repeat yourself.
Please do not put sensitive information in the message box. We never need your financial account details, your date of birth or a government identification number to answer a consultation request, and the form is not the place to send them.
What is collected automatically
Like every website, this one is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers keep routine technical logs — the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. These logs exist so the site can be kept online, fast and secure. They are not used to build a profile of you and they are not combined with anything you send through the form.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising or social media pixels, and no session recording or heat-mapping tools. Our typefaces are served from our own servers rather than a font network, so simply reading a page here does not report your visit to anyone else.
There is consequently nothing here for a cookie banner to ask you about. If we ever add analytics or any other third-party tool, we will update this page before it goes live and say plainly what it does.
How we use what you send
- To reply to your consultation request and arrange a visit or a call.
- To prepare an estimate and discuss the work you are considering.
- To keep a record of what you asked for, so later conversations make sense.
- To meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations as a contractor.
We do not sell your information, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone who wants to market to you. We do not use it to target advertising to you anywhere.
Who else sees it
Your consultation request reaches the people working on your project, and it passes through a small number of providers that run on our behalf — our website host, our email provider, and the system we use to route and keep track of incoming enquiries. They may process your information only to provide that service to us, and not for their own purposes.
Beyond that, we share information only where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Phone calls, texts and email
Sending the form, or calling and leaving your details, tells us you are happy to be contacted about your enquiry by phone, text message or email. That consent is about your project — it is not a subscription to marketing, and it is not a condition of any purchase.
You can stop it at any time: reply STOP to a text, say so on a call, or email us. Your mobile carrier's usual message and data rates apply to any texts, as they would for any other message.
How long we keep it
If we do not end up working together, we keep your enquiry only as long as it is useful to the conversation it started, and then it is removed. If we do work together, the records become part of our project file and are kept for as long as our tax, warranty and insurance obligations require — our installation labor warranty alone runs a year past completion.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and form submissions travel encrypted from your browser to us. Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to do their job. We hold the information we collect about New York residents with the administrative, technical and physical safeguards that New York's data security law requires of a business our size.
No method of transmitting information over the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can promise is that we do not collect more than we need, which is the most effective protection available to us.
Your choices
Write to us at the address below and we will, within a reasonable time and at no charge:
- Tell you what information about you we hold.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it, unless we are required to keep it for tax, warranty, insurance or legal reasons.
- Stop contacting you.
We offer this to anyone who asks, wherever you live, rather than only where a statute compels it.
Children
This site is meant for adults considering work on their home. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to places we do not control — our Google Business Profile, and the share links under our articles. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy, not this one.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version appears here with a new date at the top. Material changes — a new category of information, a new recipient, a new tracking technology — will be described rather than quietly folded in.
